There are now only 5 weeks until we leave and we have had our injections. We went to Dingwall doctors surgery to get them done. The first injection was in my left arm that was the typhoid. In the right arm I had Hepatitis A & B (in one injection). Mum had the same but she also had another injection in her left arm for polio/tetanus/diptheria. We looked like pincushions!

We have been sending and getting emails from Nepal Orphans Home about when we are arriving and what type of things to take with us. Emma, who works for Nepal Orphans Home, is going to meet us at the airport.

If you look at the Nepal Orphans Home website (www.nepalorphanshome.com) you will find a news update from December 10. About halfway down the update there are pictures of a new house, with girls who have been rescued from slavery. This is the house that we will be staying in when we are in Nepal.

We are now planning two more fundraising events before we go. Hopefully there will be a jumble sale and coffee morning in Dingwall, and The Florians in Inverness have offered to put on a musical show to raise money. We will let everyone know dates once these are organised.

Eight weeks to go!

There are eight weeks to go next Monday until we leave to go to Nepal and we're really excited. We are going to volunteer with Nepal Orphans Home in Katmhandu for two months. We will be helping to look after 122 children aged five upwards. We will be staying in a house of 22 girls while we are there.

We leave on the first of March and fly to London. Then we get on another plane to Delhi in India. Finally we fly from Delhi to Katmhandu in Nepal. The whole journey from leaving home to arriving in Nepal will take about 24 hours. We will keep you posted along the way!
