We've been very bad so far at keeping this blog up to date - we'll try harder once we get to Nepal, we promise!

Today was my last day in the office at Volunteering Highland until 4th May. Thanks very much to everyone for the pressie and the card, along with all the support they've shown for this trip and helping to raise funds for Nepal Orphans Home.

There's a final fundraiser being organised by The Florians this Saturday (27th Feb) - An Evening with the Musicals - which involves much audience participation in the form of singing your lungs out to showtunes - should be a blast! Thanks to everyone's kindness and enthusiasm it looks as if by the time we leave we'll have raised around £1,400 which is fantastic. It'll go a long way in Nepal.

All of our injections are up to date, so nobody will be sticking needles in either of us for a while, we hope. I picked up the tickets from the Travel Agent on Saturday so must now make sure to keep them in a very safe place, and then remember where that very safe place is when I need them on Monday morning. Arrangements have been made for the cats to have a new home while we're away, so hopefully they'll be fine and won't think we've abandoned them and are never coming back. The next task will be the packing....

If we get chance, we'll post some more while we're dangling around at Heathrow waiting for the plane on Monday. If not, we'll try to get some photos and information on shortly after we arrive in Kathmandu.

Keep your fingers crossed we're not under 3 feet of snow over the weekend!
